HACHIKO
As I thought about this project, I honestly had no idea of what to do. However, once I started brainstorming in my head, I started to think about the things that matter to me and one of them has always been music. Afterwards, I began listening to songs that I love and mean a lot to me. As I was listening, my idea popped into my head. What I am thinking of doing for my zine is either albums or specific songs that I love and the meaning behind them. Songs have meaning and to be able to convey that in drawings would be really fun. I feel like this would be complicated but I believe that I will be able to bring this idea to life. However, if for some reason things don't work out, I also have back up ideas like rating the songs or another option would be to express some of my favorite films through a zine. Some examples of songs or albums would be twenty one pilots, Mitski, No Doubt, Eyedress, Molotov, and more. For movies I have quite a variety of favorite films so my idea is to take one of my favorite movies from each genre. So for example, a claymation movie I love is Coraline or corpse bride, and then a political movie would be La Haine and so on. Overall, films and music are big factors of my creativity and they truly impact your life with its messages which is why I want to make it the theme of my zine.
