Brainstorm Blog #3

At the start of this project, I had no idea what I wanted to do. I had initially the idea to create an animation of my dog day dreaming, however, once I became familiar with programs we would be using for this project, I soon realized that it would be very complicated to do so. Due to this, I went back to square one with no idea of what to do for this project. I became stuck for quite sometime and had no idea where to stop. All I knew was that my videos would be of me doing homework, falling asleep, and then waking up after what happened in my dream. As I sat in class one day I began thinking of ideas. I started thinking about video games and then Slenderman popped into my head. Although I never really thought this game was scary, I thought it would be fun to create an animation of me running away from Slenderman. Now that I had somewhat of an idea, I decided to create my story board to help me decide what exactly to animate. Once I completed this, I just dove into the whole process and let myself explore and play with After Effects to see what I could do. Overall, I am happy with the path I decided to take because it got the ball rolling with this project and I have been having a lot of fun with it right now. I am excited to see how it will turn out and although it doesn’t look professional, I think I leaned into the silliness of it.
