Brainstorm Blog #4

As the project was being introduced to us in class, I began brainstorming of the many possibilities I could create. I felt myself getting more excited as I saw examples of past student work. Each and everyone was different from each other and I realized how much freedom this project allows. After class ended, I was still thinking about different ideas and how I could execute them. One thing I knew for sure was that I really wanted to have a dark twist in my project, something that no one would really expect. How I would execute this would be through easter eggs, having something seem out of place drawing the audience to click on it and leading them to something horrific. When I decided on this, I knew I should do something that is sweet and soft so I would be able to turn it into something dark. I thought of various cartoons or characters that I could use and then I thought of one of my and many others’ favorite characters that I could use. Hello Kitty and her friends is what I decided on and felt would be very interesting to see how I could make it gruesome and disturbing in a way. I am still not sure how far I want to take the horror but overall I am happy with this idea and want to see where this takes my project. I feel that my only worry is the timing of this project because I feel like I don’t have a lot of time to execute this as well as I want it. However, I honestly really want to put all of my sweat and tears into this project to try and get it how I imagined it.
